YES WE DID!

It’s surreal….

I’m still not sure how to feel about the returns from the past election last Tuesday but relieved. It still feels like a dream, but in the end I am fired up and ready to do what I can to help get things moving and get this country headed in the right direction again.

If you haven’t checked it out yet, go to change.gov and give it look or two. I’ve already posted something about FISA so feel free to get involved as well, sin this is the government for the people by the people and only works when everyone gets involved.

Not only have we made history by electing the first African-American to the office of the Presidency, but Indiana went blue and became a swing state again, something that hasn’t happened since 1964 during Johnson’s run. I can only feel pride here and hope we make good on our word and try to become a more progressive state as time marches on.

Hopefully all of this will all mean something in the future and not just turn out to be yet another election of disastified voters that will stop caring once they get the person they wanted to win in office and we will actually make some progress in this country. I have a feeling it’s going to turn out to be something great and will be a time in history to be remembered.

I would also like to thank one Howard Dean for this, someone I voted for in the 2004 primary and wanted to vote for in the 2004 general election but voted for Kerry instead because I really wanted George W. Bush out of office. We can thank Dean for his 50-state strategy that has proven itself to be a winner, without it we would have witnessed the usual campaign of grabbing the “states that matter” and witnessing instead Hillary Clinton winning the primary and probably losing the general election.

All in all I am feeling psyched up and ready to see what America can accomplish in this next four years and am looking forward to donating some of my time for some activism when needed.

I can only hope that the Republicans will learn from this and stay away from Palin as the torch bearer, drop their current base, and let them go to a third party like the Constitution Party, and instead come a bit more to the center. I don’t see it happening, and I think they have a bit more ways to go into dire straights before they realize the changes they need to make, but time will tell, and hopefully history can be their guide, because it would really be nice to have an actual two party system that represents the majority of America instead of one party of prgamatism that tries its best to represent all of America and the other party that just wants to represent the 25% or less of the population that wants to indulge in radical conservative extremism.

But maybe I am asking for too much…

New Ranting Grounds

So this blog will be my new ranting grounds, as opposed to having it on blogger like it was before, and will make things a bit easier since I will be posting all of my written works on my writer’s journal as usual.

Bare with the simplicity and/or mess (however you see it) for now as I am more focused on getting some material up than I am in making this side look ultra pretty. I will be making small changes as I go along though (mostly link additions) and don’t plan to make many changes to the current theme (I feel it is very fitting for now).

So sit back, wait for some more posts, and enjoy.

Also check out my writer’s journal as well from time to time for my latest written works.

As always, thanks for reading.
